Postmenopause Explained

What Is Postmenopause?

Postmenopause begins after you’ve gone 12 full months without a period. At this stage, your body has fully transitioned out of its reproductive phase, and estrogen levels stay consistently low.

What You Might Experience

Some women notice that symptoms like hot flashes and mood swings ease up after menopause. Others continue to deal with:

  • Vaginal dryness or discomfort

  • Bladder issues

  • Low libido

  • Bone thinning (osteopenia or osteoporosis)

  • Heart health changes

  • Changes in skin or hair texture
