Symptom Treatment Options

Every woman’s experience of menopause is unique, and so are the treatment options. Some women find relief with hormone therapy, while others prefer non-hormonal medicines, supplements, or lifestyle changes. Often, the best approach is a combination.

Always discuss any treatment decisions with your healthcare provider to find what’s right for you.

Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT)

MHT replaces or supplements hormones, usually estrogen and progesterone, that the body no longer produces in sufficient amounts after menopause. It can help relieve symptoms such as:

  • Hot flashes and night sweats

  • Vaginal dryness

  • Bone loss (osteoporosis)

Non-Hormonal Drug Therapies

For women who prefer or cannot use hormone therapy, there are effective non-hormonal options. These include:

  • Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs)

  • Certain antidepressants that reduce hot flashes

  • Other targeted therapies for mood, sleep, or bone health

Lifestyle Changes

Simple daily habits can make a meaningful difference. Stress management, good sleep, and regular physical activity all support wellbeing during menopause. Lifestyle approaches can also help with:

  • Mood swings and anxiety

  • Fatigue and brain fog

  • Sexual health and intimacy concerns
